KASAPATAN (The Animal Farm)

KASAPATAN
oil on Canvass
by John Becaro

Kasapatan- an Illonggo term(Visayan Dialect) which means animals. This painting was intended to criticize the present happenings in most of our city halls specially in the Treasurer's department.Corruption, bribery, extortion, blackmail, discrimination and some other same related words dominates our present systems...most people working in our government seems to forget that we, the people, are the one who compensates them and instead
boast and enrich themeselves only...It is very disappointing in my part since I always witness this kind of shitness in our society...the needy are always the one who suffers.Portraying most of the "greedy" government employees and people as animals depending on their classification..what else do we expect from this animals?
Humorous yet True.

The painting has undergone two Art Exhibits and worth Php 30, 000.00...Today, the painting
is displayed in my residential place in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. 2004
