On Money , Limbo and Hell!

On Money, Limbo, and Hell! (sub title only)
Oil on Canvass
By John Becaro
2004

I did this for my first appearance on an Art Exhibit held in my own Hometown in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines...For the past years, most of the people of my hometown only knew me as a Dance Choreographer, but only to find out in this art exhibit that my very career is a visual artist and not a performing.

This painting depicts on how I view money on its signicance on the destiny of human kind on life after death...what Im trying to convey here is that: It is up to you, whether you like it or not, money plays vital role on you. It is for your destination on heaven or hell?

Finished painting within three days only....:)

KASAPATAN (The Animal Farm)

KASAPATAN
oil on Canvass
by John Becaro

Kasapatan- an Illonggo term(Visayan Dialect) which means animals. This painting was intended to criticize the present happenings in most of our city halls specially in the Treasurer's department.Corruption, bribery, extortion, blackmail, discrimination and some other same related words dominates our present systems...most people working in our government seems to forget that we, the people, are the one who compensates them and instead
boast and enrich themeselves only...It is very disappointing in my part since I always witness this kind of shitness in our society...the needy are always the one who suffers.Portraying most of the "greedy" government employees and people as animals depending on their classification..what else do we expect from this animals?
Humorous yet True.

The painting has undergone two Art Exhibits and worth Php 30, 000.00...Today, the painting
is displayed in my residential place in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. 2004

Panaguay- An Illonggo term(Visayan dialect)
that means "Hide and Seek". This is a platework during my college years to be used as an entry for an Art
Competition.But I never submitted
this painting in order to be part of my
personal collections.This also
portrays my childhood memories.
This is also one of my firsts and
early works in Oil Paintings...this has
undergone several Art Exhibits and
has worth Php 50,000.00. Today, this painting was displayed in my
residential place in Cadiz City,
Negros Occidental, Philippines.
